Teachers, Stop Wasting Money in Cybers.

Teachers no longer have to spend as much time traveling across offices because of advancements in educational technology. Cybercrime has also increased as a result. This is due to some teachers, especially those over the age of 46, having inadequate computer skills. Some teachers complain about applying for loans, having money taken from their bank accounts, and other heinous acts committed by unidentified people. They forget that when they visit cyber for online services, they divulge passwords, ID numbers, phone numbers, and even TSC numbers. It makes it easier for online fraudsters to gain access to your accounts and commit fraud.

STOP CYBERCRIME

This can be mitigated by educating them on how to do any online service by themselves. Additionally, cyber charges are not customer friendly mostly in big towns; meaning one can save money by downloading and filling out forms online. Visit a cyber cafe when you want to do photocopies or printing. Online services should be done using a smartphone or desktop computer or laptop individually.

TSC Website Navigation Made Easy

The TSC burned the midnight oil to migrate from analog to digital. Most of the teacher's services are done online instead of on paperwork. The challenged employees are computer illiterate teachers though a few. The new government led by Dr. Ruto is working to supply free internet access to schools and the common market places meaning there is a need for computer skills.

THE MAIN REASONS FOR TSC NOT SHORTLISTING YOU IN JSS

The TSC announced hiring instructors in elementary and junior secondary schools(JSS). The online application process date line was postponed from 18th to 23rd December 2022. Initially one was to apply to 1 county but after some consideration, the applicants can apply to at least three counties. It gave registered teachers tired of working under BOM  a go-ahead to secure jobs.

During July employment of teachers this year, the TSC boss, Nancy Macharia, introduced a new system to shortlist the best five or up to a maximum of  8 applicants. This came as a blow to applicants under internship for three years who were not on the list. Since it was the first time they did the shortlisting we hope this time biasness won't prevail.

                   Reasons for not being shortlisted

  1. Year of graduation. TSC has awarded more marks to those who graduated earlier, a difference of five marks per year.  So those who graduated just the other year wait for your time to come. Let the fossils secure jobs.
  2. Subject combination. Sciences graduates of 2019 and after are likely to be shortlisted while humanities and languages graduates of 2018 and below have higher chances of securing a job come January 2023.
  3.  Evidence of Internship. Those under internship have the advantage of five are and more marks than those who are not on a contract basis. If not on an internship probability of being shortlisted is less than half.
  4. Degree/Diploma /Degree and PGDE. Degree first class holders, second class holders, and pass have a difference of five marks with first class holders having 40 marks. Diploma in education distinction holders, credit holders, and pass have a difference of five marks with distinction having 35 marks. Therefore those with higher marks are more likely to be shortlisted.

  • Teachers and teacher interns must report on Wednesday, February 1, 2023. Those who signed the offer of job form/letters must report on February 1st. If you wait for more than a month before reporting, your offer will be revoked.

  • Finally, from Monday, February 6th to Thursday, February 9th, 2023, recruiting paperwork must be sent to TSC headquarters. The list of selected candidates in attendance, the interview form on how panel members awarded marks, and the personal academic credentials of successful applicants will be transmitted to TSC headquarters.

DO THIS TO WIN TSC RECRUITMENT INTERVIEW

TSC announced the employment of 35000 teachers in both primary and post-primary schools. Many applied for the posts but only a few will be shortlisted as per TSC guidelines.  Then among the shortlisted applicants, only one or two will be chosen by the panel depending on the number of vacancies available in that school. This will be done by inviting shortlisted applicants to interview.
